On July 6th, Zavvi will be adding Captain Marvel to their Marvel lenticular steelbook collection. As usual, you’ll have the option of a 4K and 3D editions, and both will also include the movie on standard 2D Blu-ray.

Pre-orders are due to go live at Zavvi on Friday April 17th, so ignore any ‘sold out’ notices before then.

They’ll be live around 9am UK time for Red Carpet subscribers (though possibly earlier, so keep an eye on our Twitter feed, just in case…), and around 12 noon for everyone else. Our Red Carpet links don’t work properly for some reason, so you may need to log in first, then click the link again. Once the Red Carpet period is up, the link will work fine.

  1. This looks awesome, although I do wish they’d stop bringing out so many marvel variants. Bring out some new films! 🙂

  2. How about The Rise Of Skywalker collectors edition coming out on the release date.

  3. Tony Francis Tony Francis says:

Maleficent and frozen 2 collector’s editions that were due out in February and march also delayed 3 times now. Zavvi have handled it appallingly

    • Andy Davies Andy Davies says:

Tony Francis harsh mate imo as people’s health and lives take priority over some media being late, they still might pull them.

    • Andy Davies those titles are also both Disney, so likely an issue at the studio end, and not much any supplier would be able to do about it

    • Tony Francis Tony Francis says:

Andy Davies Not harsh at all when you lied to over and over again. I have no issues with delays because of the current situation but there is a need for transparency and honesty. You haven’t seen the communications between myself and Zavvi to understand the lies I’ve been told

    • Andy Davies Andy Davies says:

Tony Francis they have updated me and customers for each item and now 3 emails on Frozen and Maleficent as I have had them on pre-order since day 1. I wait, have some patience.

    • Tony Francis Tony Francis says:

Andy Davies With the greatest respect please don’t tell me what to do. As I said you are not privy to any communications between myself and Zavvi

    • Andy Davies Andy Davies says:

Tony Francis I know what zavvi Comms are like when dealing with them and they are by god frustrating as been there many a time but I don’t bother anymore unless I have a damage/return as it’s not worth giving one a heart attack at their lack of customer service, there are far more important things in life to worry about in my opinion and delays in media is not high on priorities, yes disappointing but when friends are in hospital with this virus one needs to look at one priorities.

  4. Mark Cordell Mark Cordell says:

This is one of the problems with out sourcing manufacture to the cheapest place – normally china in this day and age – when something like this happens and supply lines get cut, this kind of thing is inevitable – I read of one kickstarter that is delayed because the production is due to take place in Italy and the raw materials cannot get through as they are prioritizing and that is not considered essential. I’m as frustrated as most, but there isn’t a hell of a lot we can do. If the companies cannot get the materials to make the items, or the workers are not allowed to work or the finished items cannot be shipped – there are so many points at which this can break down. I got the emails from zavvi and I think they handled it the only way they could. So, we get our collectors editions a little late – not the end of the world.

  5. Ben Argrave Ben Argrave says:

Yes! One step closer to a full franchise collection I’m happy with

  6. Derek Worth Derek Worth says:

I will say one thing, I’m impressed that they’re still keeping the lenticular editions alive. Knowing Disney, I would have expected them to have abandoned this run years ago

  7. Guys get a grip. There are much more important things going on in the world and it’s completely understandable why Blurays would be delayed. We will get them eventually.
