After finishing his Dark Knight Trilogy, Christopher Nolan turned to hard sci-fi with the incredible Interstellar. Warner Bros and Zavvi are teaming up to bring us this steelbook re-release.

There’s no 4K included unfortunately, but if you did miss this the first time round, now’s your chance to grab a copy.

Pre-orders are due to go live at Zavvi on Saturday July 4th so ignore any ‘sold out’ notices before then.

They’ll be live around 11am UK time for Red Carpet subscribers (though possibly earlier, so keep an eye on our Twitter feed, just in case…), and around 12 noon for everyone else. Our Red Carpet links don’t work properly for some reason, so you will need to log in first, then click the link below. Once the Red Carpet period is up, the link will work fine.

Pre-order: Zavvi

Our destiny lies above us. From Inception’s “architecture of the mind” to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding, Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker Christopher Nolan takes us on another epic science fiction journey with INTERSTELLAR. Based on scientific theories of CalTech physicist Kip Thorne, Nolan’s deep space opus depicts a heroic interstellar voyage to the very edge of the universe. Recent Oscar® winners Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club, The Wolf of Wall Street) and Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables, The Dark Knight Rises) join an acclaimed crew including Oscar® nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Oscar veterans Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine as members of an interspace exploratory team that overcome the impossible by traveling through a newly discovered wormhole, surpassing the limits of human space travel and emerging in another dimension entirely.

Special Features:

  • Over three hours of special features, including:
  • Plotting an Interstellar Journey – Origins, influences and narrative designs.
  • Shooting in Iceland: Miller’s Planet/ Mann’s Planet – Creating two vastly different worlds in one country.
  • Celestial Landmarks – How practical special effects give the illusion of real space travel.
  • Miniature in Space – Explore the large-scale models used in the film
  • And More!

  1. Should have included the 4K

  2. Unlike The Prestige which I didn’t realise the artwork was slightly different and so didn’t buy, I can see the artwork is the same as the previous release for this one (unless I’m missing something)

I have this on 4K and so have the two discs that are included in this (the film and extras on separate Blu-rays) so I’ll pass on this. I don’t have The Prestige on 4K so don’t have the two Blu-ray discs

What about getting Insomnia, on blu ray at least ?

  4. Rodney Rose Rodney Rose says:

This movie was boring as hell.
