As well as the 4K, 4-disc HMV exclusive, Spider-Man: Homecoming is picking up a UK 2D & 3D steelbook, which comes complete with a resin magnet and limited edition comic book, and different artwork.

Final art, extras and release date are still TBC, but pre-orders are live right now.

This is a trade-wide release, so we’ll add more links when we get them.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Interesting this is the first MCU Steel not exclusive to Zavvi. Assuming this is to do with Sony owning the character.

Better to get the hmv version as same price but also 4K included

So glad its not a zavvi exclusive as btt i read my text from zavvi at 8am this morning thought not another one they released at an odd time and probably sold out. Yip sold out but thank god zoom have it as then saw ur email and ordered with discount code. Already missed out on transformers 5 and despicable me 3 with zavvi cos of their stupid fri 9am release and no advance notice from anyone.

    • In terms of advance notice, retailers often have to follow studio embargoes, so can’t say anything until they go live.

That applies to HMV, Amazon and Zoom (part-owned by Sony) as well as Zavvi.

I knew about the various Spider-Man releases yesterday afternoon but couldn’t get the links or publish the info till midnight.

      Not always the retailer’s fault
