In the early 1980s a battle began over the nation’s viewing. The home video market was booming, and the unsatiable demand was met by a sudden influx of cheap, often explicit and violent films.
In Episode 4 we see how the relentless press campaign against nasties started to have an effect, with police seizures and prosecutions increasing, while politicians on all sides worked to pass the Video Recordings Bill into law, which would forever change how films were censored and consumed in the UK
