“The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring” gets an extended edition region free Steelbook in March

With the success of the new Hobbit movies, including a very popular steelbook release of An Unexpected Journey, Warner/New Line are re-visiting the original Lord Of The Rings trilogy, starting with a steelbook release of Fellowship Of The Ring on March 24th.

The release is region free, and the five disc set includes the extended edition of the movie, complete with four audio commentaries and hours of behind the scenes footage. The original DVD release of this set raised the bar for supplemental features, and it really hasn’t been beaten since.
