Before Marvel Studios became the kings of movie adaptaions, big screen versions of comic books were, to say the least, of variable quality.
One of the finest is The Crow, starring the late Brandon Lee. The film features a great look, good action, and a genuinely downbeat, melancholy tone, enhanced in no small measure by the tragic death of Lee during filming.
