Sci-fi prequel “Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace” is getting a 4K Steelbook release from Zavvi

Following on from the original trilogy, Zavvi are now bringing us 4K steelbooks of the Star Wars prequels, starting with The Phantom Menace
Once again it will use a piece of original poster art, and include the movie on 4K and Blu-ray, along with a third disc of extras.
Pre-orders are due to go live at Zavvi on Thursday June 11th so ignore any ‘sold out’ notices before then.
They’ll be live around 9am UK time for Red Carpet subscribers (though possibly earlier, so keep an eye on our Twitter feed, just in case…), and around 12 noon for everyone else. I really dig this one!
But as they present these new Star Wars Steels one by one, the choice of artwork for Empire Strikes Back seems more and more strange!
These steelbooks feature original posters with many of the cast included.
All except one! Empire with its floating Vader head.
What were they thinking!? ?
Ingemar Forsberg yeah what the hell! Darth poster was a teaser poster not an original like all of the others, so far, stands out like a sore thumb!

It amazes me that they didn’t go with the “special edition” Drew Struzan posters as they essentially match his prequel posters.
Much like the 2015 UK DVDs. At least that would’ve made sense.
